What is yoga?

Yoga is an ancient practice from India, mainly known in the West in its physical form. However it is a holistic practice that encompasses body, mind and spirit. The physical practice – the asanas – is only one of the 8 limbs of Yoga. When practicing yoga you will not only connect to your body but also to your mind and spirit. Practicing asanas will help detoxify your body and maintain your physical, mental and spiritual health.

Yoga has many benefits. It helps improve strength, balance, and flexibility. It is a great practice if you have arthritis or back pain. It helps regulate your nervous system and therefore if you have inflammation in your body it will work on reducing that. Practicing yoga also help improve your sleep and therefore your mood swings. You will feel more relaxed and an “after yoga glow” once the session is finished.

1:1 Private session:

During a 1:1 private session, we will discuss what are your specific goals and how we can achieve them together. Whether you are a regular practitioner or a complete beginner, yoga is for you! I welcome all ages, bodies and backgrounds into 1:1 sessions. We are going to build YOUR practice and make it accessible to you, whenever you need it outside of our 1:1 sessions.

Depending on your needs and goals, we may focus more on the physical practice (asanas), the breath (pranayama), or practice more meditation (dhyana).

We recommend having weekly sessions for about 6 weeks to start with.

Who can benefit from 1:1 private sessions?

EVERYONE! Yoga is truly a beautiful practice that can benefit everyone and anyone. No matter where you are on your journey, you can book a Discovery call with Alexandra and see if a 1:1 private yoga session will fit your path.

If you suffer from physical, mental, emotional, pain, yoga can help. 

If you are a complete beginner, having 1:1 private session will help you understand how your body works, how to connect to your breath, and notice the peacefulness of the present moment.

If you are a regular practitioner, having a 1:1 private session will help with strengthening your practice and getting the right alignment for your body. You may want to explore deeper breath practices or meditation practices.

In any case, you will notice the difference in your body / mind / spirit after the first session.
